Ms. Christensen, a 35-year resident of San Francisco, has worked closely with neighborhood associations in North Beach, where she has lived for 21 years, and beyond.
Her work has included advocacy for an extension of the Central Subway, redesigns of Helen Wills and Joe DiMaggio playgrounds, work on the North Beach Library, Pool and Clubhouse, and streetscaping throughout D3 with an eye toward pedestrian safety.
She has an extensive, successful background in product development and design for major companies including Corning, Maytag, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Samsung and Whirlpool, encompassing household name brands like Gillette, KitchenAid and XBOX.
Ms. Christensen is on SPUR's Advisory Board and is a founder of the SFNexTstop advocacy group promoting extension of the T-line through North Beach to Fisherman's Wharf.

Officer elections for 2015
In March, we will vote on Executive Board positions for the year 2015.At February's meeting, the following nominations were moved: President, Michael Ho; First Vice President, Kat Anderson; Second Vice President, Jim Reilly; Recording Secretary, Michelle Parker; Corresponding Secretary, Clay Harrell; Treasurer, Steve la Plante; and at-large members Michael Breyer and Heidi Machen.
Additional nominations can be made in March and the membership will vote at this time. One must be a dues-paid member to participate in this vote; however, new members can vote immediately with no 28-day waiting period.
